These are the questions we hear the most:
"How can I join NCWIN?"
Click here to apply online. Your membership will be good for 12 months from the date you sign up and will save you money on your luncheon registrations as well as open up many other benefits of membership to you!
"Will I automatically be charged to renew my membership?"
No, you will not automatically be charged to renew. We give you the option to decide to renew each year. The system automatically sends a renewal notice with an invoice for the coming year about 30 days out from when your membership ends. If you do not renew, the invoice will drop off the system after your membership status has been suspended.
"How do I register for an event?"
You can either register online on the website version of NCWIN or using our app. You will receive email announcements each month about upcoming events. You can click the link in that email to register. Be sure to use the email address you received the announcement at as that is your unique identifier in our system showing you are a member.
"Why don't I see the option for "member pricing" when I try to register?"
You must be logged into your member account using the email address you used when you joined. Only then will the system know you are a member and show you the "member pricing".
"What if I have to cancel an event that I have registered for?"
Planning ahead is great and buying in advance saves you money. But we understand that sometimes something comes up and you can't come afterall. That's why we give you options. Our cancellation policy states that you can cancel your registration up to the Thursday before the luncheon and receive a full credit in our system for a future luncheon. Simply cancel in the app or on the website. You are also able to sell or giveaway your ticket. This is a good option when it is past the deadline. Member tickets CAN be sold or gifted to non-members. We just need to know who will be checking in using your ticket.
"How can I tell if I have already registered for an event?"
You can see your past and future event registrations when you are logged into your account either on the website or in the app.
"You keep mentioning this app y'all have. Where can I find it and how do I use it?"
Look for the app "Wild Apricot For Members" in your app store (IOS and Android). It's FREE and can be used to connect with other members, get registered for events and see which events you already have tickets for. BTW: Once you download the app, you will find it listed under the name "Members App".

"What other cool things do I probably not know about that I SHOULD?"
Well, you can get more visibility in our community by actively participating and sharing your specials or upcoming events on our Social Media (see below), sponsoring a luncheon agenda or silent auction, having a marketplace table at a luncheon (and speaking briefly at the luncheon!) (see below), adding one or several "photo albums" to your profile to show people more about what you do and what you offer, volunteering on a committee, and more!
You can help us raise more money for charities by bringing opportunity drawing items, buying tickets for the drawing, donating items to the silent auction, bidding on items in the silent auction, inviting people to the auction, donating to our charity fund if you DIDN'T win the item(s) you were bidding on.
"How can I tell my friends about your networking group?"
We would love that! Please direct them to our website: www.northcountywomen.com. When 3 of your invited guests join, you will be gifted a free luncheon! So start spreading the word! If you don't already know the discount code for your guests to receive $10 off the regular visitor price, find out what it is and share it with them when you invite them to check us out.
"Are you on Social Media?"
Yes, you can find info about social media here. Scroll down to social media to learn more.
Can I post on your NCWIN Facebook page if I am NOT a member?
No. Only members can post and the guidelines are in the link in the question above. Non-members can comment on posts (provided they are appropriate comments). Once you become a member you will be able to post.
"How can I sign up for a Marketplace Table or to sponsor an Agenda?"
Information about marketplace table and sponsoring agendas is found here on our Membership page. You can also skip straight to the sign up form here. You must be a current member to be considered for either of these "Members Only" opportunities.
"How come I am not seeing your email announcements?"
It's possible that they are going into your spam or junk folder. And if you have a Promotions tab (i.e. gmail) our emails might be landing there. Be sure to add this email address to your contacts: NorthCountyWomenInNetworking@wildapricot.org. You can also search for our emails by searching NCWIN as most emails contain that in the subject line. Whatever email program you use, follow the steps to tell it that you want our messages in your "primary inbox".
"Can you send me text reminders about upcoming events?"
To receive text messages you need to first have a number in our system that can receive texts (i.e. landlines won't work) AND enable SMS/Text messages in your profile.
"If I know someone who would be a great speaker for NCWIN, how can I help her apply?"
We are always looking for new speakers to consider. You can direct them to this link here. She can learn about who we are, what events are coming up and then she can click the link at the bottom of the events page to apply to be a speaker. Let them know that most prospective speakers like to attend one of our luncheons before applying to help them understand our organization better and know how best to serve our audience with their talk topics.
"Can I offer my talents and time to be involved in the leadership team of NCWIN?"
Absolutely! We have many opportunities for members to be involved. You can click here to let us know what areas you would like to volunteer. Someone from our Board will reach out to you to discuss your interest in volunteering!
